Fish and Trees | Flowers and Trees | West View of Pond | North View of Pond
This shows the landscaping around the North side of the Old Koi pond the summer of 2005. This is another view that I thought was unique. The larger tree is a type of Japanese maple, but grows large, and is unlike the Japanese maples that we see so often. The leaves on it are miniature size leaves shaped like our big maple trees. The birdbath is empty because of the darn crows, but looked pretty good there anyway. Another view of the Monkey tree shows the odd shapes these trees take. The real reason for the many large rocks were two fold. First, they help my sandy soil in place, and secondly, I love the rustic look, sort of a natural scene that I think the Koi fit into very well.
