Empty

Screaming in your empty ears
demanding you awaken
yet I know that you will not
for by death have you been taken.
Staring in your empty eyes
for the tears that will never flow
searching so long so heartlessly
for the love that will never glow.
Kissing you on your empty lips
will only bring more tears
your death had lay as my most terrible wish
yet had rose above my worst fears.
Searching in your empty soul
for the strong heart that used to be
I'll miss it most, of the all
more than you or I will ever see.
