Professional Rates for Web Design and Website Redesign
As the owner of Lori's Web Design, and being a professional web designer, I offer a wide selection of affordable web design rates because every site owner has different requirements and rates will vary between websites. Some clients need a custom web design and others need a website redesign. The rates for both are very similar as there just as much work fixing a website as there is in setting up an original design.
Low rates are maintained on Lori's Web Design because I write all code by hand, which results in no need to buy or upgrade expensive web design software. I am currently designing sites with 100% CSS layouts unless data tables are needed so websites load quickly without the code bloat produced via WYSIWYG or CMS programs. I aim for search engine friendly designs and cross browser compatibility on both the Mac and PC. I do all the work myself so you get personalized attention. I watch the weekly traffic stats for all clients, at no charge, as long as they keep me as their web designer to make sure there aren't problems with the site. I help clients change their domain into their own name, if needed, and also keep a record of when domains come due and let clients know when the due date is approaching so they don't lose their domain.
The final price rate is based on the amount of effort required. If there is a lot of image formatting, or contact forms, setting up a shopping cart, or designing custom graphics, or research to write the content then the price rate is higher (I have a BA in English/Creative Writing and also an artist).

Web Design Rates for up to 5 pages:The data for a 10 page site also applies to a smaller site* except it only covers up to 5 pages.* I do not recommend less than 10 pages because search engine prefer sites with lots of pages and sites that grow frequently. Also the more pages you have the more links you have pointing back at your home page, which increases your ranking. If you want to start out slow and add pages later then you may prefer this option. |

Website RedesignThe price for a Website Redesign is similar to designing a site from scratch, unless the site needs to be moved to a new host and more pages added, etc. If your website is having ranking problems in the search engines then a web site evaluation may be needed first to determine original design flaws and total costs. |
Consultation FeeIf you would like advice so you can fix the site yourself I provide a consultation service either by phone or email. Please call between 12 noon and 5pm Pacific Time. |

Website EvaluationsThis website evaluation service provides an in-depth evaluation of an already established website, looking for hosting or technical design flaws that are hindering your ranking in major search engines. This evaluation supplies you with tips on how to make your site more appealing to search engines and the general viewing public. It will be sent by email, prints out in 4-12 pages, depending on the problems, and takes at least 3 to hours to complete, so it's not free. See the website evaluation page for more info. |

Copywriting:Since Google has started devaluing the links for sites that get involved in dishonest linking schemes and one-way links are hard to come by, the best option is for you to provide content that people link to willingly. Also the more pages you add to your site the more links you gain as every page pointing back to your home page counts as another link.Having a BA in English/Creative Writing I can research your company's focus and write that content for you. Research and writing the content can take up to 3 hours per page. | $30.00 per hour |
