Internet Technology Not Compatible with the Mac
Some of the newer technology on the Internet will cause the older MACs to crash or hang up because they were not designed to be compatible with the Mac OS. There are also several hosting services that don't support the Mac OS either so webmasters using MACs can't always upload to those sites. Webmasters that fail to provide web sites compatible with the MAC computer should realize that most schools, community colleges and universities are still using MACs and thus their teachers and students also.
Graphic Artists Prefer the Mac
Most artists prefer working on the Mac OS because of the Mac's superior graphics. Therefore Web sites that offer information of interest to schools and colleges (and what isn't?) should take special precautions to make sure their web sites are compatible with Mac computers.
For example: if a site gets about 3,500 visitors per week and the counter indicates that 4% of them are using the Mac OS. That doesn't look like very much but that is about 420 people surfing that site every month that use Macs. A business cannot afford to annoy that many potential clients.
Macs are imune to Window's Viruses and Adware
One of the best advantages of owning a Mac is that a Mac is basically immune to Windows viruses, spyware and adware. and doesn't need a system upgrade every other week to prevent bugs. And system software doesn't need to be continually installed to get rid of adware either.
The owner of this site designs all websites made with a Mac.
